Feeling not accepted

You probably know the feeling of being not accepted the way you are. Since many years, for instance, my grandmother wants me to cut my hair. Some friends, as you might imagine, dislike what I am writing. Others, it appears, can’t stop moaning about my way of life. Why is it so difficult to accept me just the way I am?

Maybe, it’s because
if I am feeling not accepted by others, if I wish others would accept the way I am, then I do not accept others the way they are. I simply do not accept that they do not accept me.

Ever thought you might just enjoy being ‘unacceptable’? Mightnd it be a bit boring, suddenly being surrounded by people nodding at all you say, and at all you do? Is it only you who can be controversial, why can’t others too.

Hi!Hi!Hi! I’d like to comment just on your grandmother’s request… When I was 13, I had an unusual haircut, consisting in 1cm-long hair + a 20cm small braid in the back. Well, my grandfather was so upset about it, that once he ran after me with scissors in hand! And, at that time, I didn’t feel not accepted, I just felt FASTER!! :-D
